Ingredients
- 250g Macaroni pasta
- 50g Butter
- 50g Plain flour
- 600ml Whole milk
- 150g Sharp Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 150g Creamy Mozzarella cheese (grated)
- 1 tsp Mustard powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni according to its package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Melt the butter in a separate saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the plain flour to initialize your roux base.
- 3. Gradually pour in the whole milk, whisking constantly to ensure no compilation lumps or texture artifacts form.
- 4. Reduce the heat and merge both the Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese objects into the warm milk loop until completely melted and smooth.
- 5. Add the mustard powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
- 6. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce repository, toss well to ensure perfect code coverage, and serve immediately.
